in my blood!
on my tooth!
in the night!
I want it!
I want it!
turn you loose!
on the moon!
make you move!
I want it!
I want it!
can you tell me a story?
can you make it seem true?
can you assemble another?
I’m feeling dark and cool...
I will remember nothing
nothing's ever happened before
I’m not in my reflection
I’m not here anymore...
can you look like another?
can you make me look twice?
we resemble each other
we have the same eyes
we will remember nothing
nothing’s ever happened before
we’re not in our reflections
we’re not here anymore...
As far as indie albums in the 2010's and beyond go, this is one of the most cohesive and emotive albums I've experienced looking back on it and is Jay Som's best album tokyonoir
I’ve known of STRFKR since around the time this album was originally released (2012 or 2013, most likely). That said, it’s taken me until now (February 10, 2023) to listen to STRFKR. And allow me to say this is something I somewhat regret. This album reminds me a lot of MGMT’s “Oracular Spectacular” but less polished. There’s an earnestness to these songs that is undeniable, and it’s a helluva lot of fun. If electro rock is your cup of tea, bring an empty cup; STRFKR’s gonna make sure it’s full. Kirk Gauthier
This album rips. I’ve passed on Japandroids for several years since discovering Polyvinyl Records, and I have to admit I regret that decision immensely. This album is fast, furious, and a LOT of fun. Kirk Gauthier
Terry Venemous is releasing new music every 3 weeks this year. His latest EP is sumptuous art pop with a wry sense of detachment.

Absolutely brilliant, dreamy indie folk-rock. Most of the songs are somewhere between two and three minutes but feel as though they last a lifetime (in a good way). Beautifully heart-wrenching from beginning to end. Kirk Gauthier
